Definitely the best bar / restaurant in the area. Great Patio in the back and very cozy atmosphere inside. This is a designated heritage building and there are old pictures of the area on the walls which is a nice touch. The food is great and it's a mix of Italian, Mexican, American. What I like most is the open kitchen. The food is prepped in the open! It's a refreshing change from almost all other restaurants that prep food behind closed doors (makes you wonder what's really crawling in the kitchen). The Bar has good selection on tap and there is a comfortable lounging area in the back by the fireplace as well. If you are looking for something in this area, I would definitely recommend going here. Read more

Main Street Unionville is home of the BEST Middle Eastern food in the Toronto area. FRESH! is the first word that comes to mind. All ingredients are prepared daily and bread is picked up fresh literally every morning. Most places don't have a whole wheat pita option. But Unionville Mediterranean House listens to its customers and makes changes to satisfy. Start with one of the amazing dips...Hummus was my favorite and then decide if you want to try a kebab, shwarma or falafel sandwich or meal. I have tried all three and you cant go wrong. All the meat is cooked and grilled to perfection and the falafel are absolutely perfect. Unionville Mediterranean House is great to stop by and grab a quick bite on the go or sit down for lunch or diner with friends and family. This is truly one of the best Mexican restaurants around. The atmosphere is simple and as stated in other reviews, the seating is limited. The service was relatively fast and pleasant. What we ordered is listed below. Everything was fresh, delicious and the platters were balanced and well presented. It is clear that there is an underlying culinary passion at this restaurant that is rarely found these days. Reasonable prices make this an ideal spot for lunch or dinner. Dos Amigos was a great experience. The intimate atmosphere great food and soft music made for a memorable evening. Drinks were also great, yet slightly expensive (as most things are in Toronto). At Dos Amigos we find an elegantly decorated Mexican restaurant that strives to master quality and preparation in all its offerings. The menu ranges from burritos to nachos to chicken mole to fresh snapper ceviche to filet mignon in guajillo sauce, a spicy red wine blend. The staff was small in the even smaller restaurant, but it only added to the intimacy. The staff was very helpful, always seeming to know exactly when we needed help. They were helpful and dressed very appropriately for the restaurant. I would recommend trying their martini drinks as the bartender was wonderful making them.
